Throw Back

Just last week I was rummaging through an old box of stuff in my apartment and came across several CD's that haven't seen the light of day for at least a good two years. Thus starting a mini obsession this week of reviewing all of them on my circa 1999 boom box, while I'm home doing homework, eating cereal, loitering on facebook, etc. The exciting result has been rediscovering albums that I love and have neglected as time went on, and in some instances loving the music more than I did the first go around. That being the case with Hot Fuss, The Killers debut album released in June of 2004. If you listened to it then, I say break it out again and relive the glory days! And if you somehow missed the Killers craze, now is your chance to make it right by giving Hot Fuss a good listen. Speaking of glory days, let's look back at what else happened in the year 2004:
Facebook was founded at Cambridge, Massachusetts.

United States Presidential Election 2004 George W. Bush (Republican) Defeats John Kerry (Democratic)

First Same Sex Marriage Performed in Massachusetts

Martha Stewart is convicted of a felony and sentenced to five months in prison

Janet Jackson's breast is briefly exposed by Justin Timberlake during the Super Bowl halftime show

Cost of a gallon of Gas $2.10

J and Mad Dog enter their sophomore year of high school, also marking thirteen years since they first met in preschool.
