Current Obsession: Best Coast

Both Mad Dog and myself love Best Coast's album, Crazy For You. I've pretty much been listening to it non-stop since the day I bought it and have subsequently favorited nearly every song in my Zune library. If you haven't already, you should def check out a few songs over on Myspace. And after that, you should watch these music vids for When I'm With You and Boyfriend. And after that, once you've decided you also love them, you should go buy Crazy For You.

Fave Tracks: I Want To, Each and Every Day, Our Deal, Boyfriend, Goodbye, When I'm With You, and Summer Mood

J's Album Pick of the Week

Over the weekend I bought a bunch of new CDs. Very exciting, I know. Something actually exciting did happen when I began listening to Usher's Raymond vs. Raymond the Deluxe Edition. I hadn't planned on picking this album up, but at the last minute I threw it in with the others. Good thing I did, otherwise I would be missing out on the rightful return of Usher's pride. I've only had a chance to listen through a few times, but so far, I'm loving this album.

Fave tracks: Lil Freak, Omg, Papers, DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love, Hot Tottie, Foolin' Around

Heavy Rotation: Rill Rill

Rill Rill by Sleigh Bells (I linked to their Myspace here because I didn't feel the need to send anyone to their seizure inducing band website. You're welcome). If you haven't heard them yet, you should def check out their album Treats. I really love it. I woke up this morning with this song in particular stuck in my head, and I don't mind at all. Love it.

Other faves from Treats: Infinity Guitars, Riot Rhythm, and Tell 'Em

Heavy Rotation: The-Dream

This week I've been listening to Love King, The-Dream's latest release. I have his previous two solo efforts, Love/Hate and Love Vs. Money, both of which I love. Unfortunately, it has taken me a few months to warm up to Love King. It was released in June of this year and I just wasn't into the first two singles, which is generally not a good sign, but I decided to give it a focused listen-through over this past weekend. I don't know what I was thinking before, but I haven't really stopped listening since last Friday. It might even be true that I like this album better than his last, Love Vs. Money. That is a pretty significant thing for me to be saying, given a spectacular guest appearance from Mariah Carey (the center of my musical world) on LVM. If you haven't heard The-Dream yet, head over to Myspace now to listen to a good portion of Love King and some gems from his previous records.

Fave Tracks: F.I.L.A, Sex Intelligent, Panties to the Side, Florida University, Veteran, All Black Everything
